WESTDOC 2012
Over
three years ago we set out to create a conference on the West Coast for
the Non-Fiction and Reality creative communities. A conference where
attendees would have direct access to the top broadcast decision makers,
producers and filmmakers. A conference that provided
ample networking opportunities within a unique and intimate
environment. In 2009 we produced the first WESTDOC Conference. And in
2010 we enjoyed putting together an even bigger and better event, one
that received a terrific response.
Currently, co-founder Chuck Braverman is deep into production on a multi-episode series with Discovery Channel, and co-founder Richard Propper continues to head Solid Entertainment while developing a new digital endeavor for independent filmmakers. Time has quickly and unexpectedly become very limited. After much deliberation, we decided that if we could not deliver another exceptional installment of WESTDOC, we would opt not to do a truncated version in 2011. We would instead set our sights on 2012, the plans for which are already currently underway.
As with all difficult decisions, we know that this one will be met by disappointment, but rest assured that the WESTDOC Conference will be back, bigger and better in 2012. We have a very real goal of making this event the premiere conference for the Non-Fiction and Reality industries. We will keep you up-to-date on plans as they develop.

WESTDOC - The West Coast Documentary and reality Conference is a three-day event that brings together preeminent producers, directors, writers, network executives, agents and distributors for insightful and unique seminars, as well as networking opportunities.
WESTDOC features two areas of professional interest designated as The Documentary Village and The Reality Village. Attendees and speakers are able to take full advantage of both of these arenas and to select seminars from any village they choose. Panel schedule to be announced July 1st, 2010.
